I have an '88 HF that needs a replacement driver seat (I can convert a passenger one), but are there different seat patterns for different years? What should I be looking out for?

It has a blue interior btw.

 

'88 seat rails are unique. Later years rails wont fit and if modded to fit wont go as far back as the '88's. BTW: if anyone has a set of '88 rails I will buy them!

 

Well, I'm willing to make a hybrid seat if needed (use my stock rails, etc.). I just can't find clean cushions in the right pattern!

Thanks. I would still really prefer to find a matching passenger seat. My foam is all torn up and the cover on that side is shredded. I want a matching OE seat.

From what I'm finding it looks like in order to have a seat that matches I'll be looking for another '88 HF (maybe DX).

 

passenger seats are usually in better shape. if your passenger seat is in good shape, just find another one and swap the foam to the drivers side.

 

That's almost exactly what I just said.

The plan is to find a matching (passenger, most likely) seat and make it work. If it's a passenger seat then I'll need to tear down my driver seat and the new passenger seat and make a nice driver seat out of it.

This thread was made to see if the only seat with the same fabric as my '88 HF would be another '88 HF or if I could look for other years or trims as well.
