Default Spoon blue wide view side mirrors

Hi all. Im looking for more info on these particular Spoon mirror inserts for the caR. Has anyone had any experience with them or have them on their car?

Also, the only place I can find them is through Evasive Motorsports. I've never had any experience buying anything from them.

This is the only pic I could find with them on an actual DC.

Hey, thanks for the info. I knew someone had to have them. Few questions though:

Why do you prefer these over the OEM lens? How are these mirrors with rain/fog/condensation? I see you live in the Philippines, but where did you purchase them? I'm trying to see if these mirrors are worth the price, or if they are just bling.

I believe these just stick over your factory mirror glass.

jdmeg6b18b : xprohx is right. You just stick them over your factory mirror glass.

xprohx : My friends dad who lives at Nagoya Japan got it for us at Spoon Sports. For me its a real improvement over the OEM Lens. Doesnt create moisture on the lens, lessens the glare from someones headlight at the back, during heavy rains the water just slides down instantly and you will have a broader view.

Thats what I thought, maybe it is just the picture but it looks like the whole mirror was replaced.

I thought the glass showed spoon sports on it like the rear view mirror!

thats my silver dc2 in the picture with the spoon mirror glass. what i found with it it works well in the rain, you do just stick it on but i would suggest cleaning your factory glass really well first of all and than replacing the double sided taped that is provided on the spoon mirror glass because its garbage, replace it with some thin proper 3m double sided tape. i used the spoon provided double sided tape and coming home from work one day on the highway my i hit a prety bad bump and my drivers side glass just fell off. now i only have my passenger side and it seems that spoon has discontinued this item and i can no longer get it from any of my suppliers here in canada, but im gonna call evasive motorsports right away and see if they can really get it for me.

I knew this car belonged to someone on here. Thx for sharing your experience. I'm glad that these mirrors work well in the rain. That's one of my motivations for buying the mirrors because I do find myself wiping condensation and water off my side mirrors pretty frequently. I live in an area where it rains year round and have been doing a lot of maintenance related to water getting into the car and tail lights, etc.

Let us know what happens after you contact Evasive Motorsports.

Wasn't going to post this but here is another company that lists them:

http://www.fortyone.co.nz/parts/show...%20mirror.html

I realise you're on the other side of the world but they will ship. I'm sure you could find them for sale closer to you, just putting it out there in case those mirrors are hard to find.

EDIT: Not sure if that is for the whole mirror or just the mirror glass

Yikes! 3-4 months? Did they explain why? At least we know they still exist new somewhere.

Thanks for the update. Gorgeous car btw!
