Knocking Suspension when turning
Hey I have a 2003 Honda Civic Si. I am experiencing a knocking noise in my suspension sometimes when I turn. Its loudest when I am stationary and when I go onto hard dips my suspension tends to knock a bit. This only happens SOMETIMES.
What can it be? New bushings? New struts?

Lower ball joint binding will make that noise, as will the strut plate.
Since you've modified the suspension, you will need to check all the parts that were monkeyed with for damage/improper install. The spring could be a culprit too if it is rotating on its perch.

Hmm I doubt its the spring because it sounds more like a metal on metal knock. How can I tell if the lower ball joint needs replacing by looking at it?

I just jacked up my car and did the test. I shook the wheel left and right and there was a lot of play compared to shaking it up and down. I need new tie rods. Thanks for helping me out guys
