Have you tried a different main relay by chance? To see if maybe the connections on that particular one are faulty?

no i haven't since its a bitch to get too but the main relay clicks fine and the pump primes so i doubt that's the cause.

Yeah but there are different connections for the different prongs on that main relay, just because the fuel pump primes, does not mean that the other connections are connecting properly.

I always take out that 10mm bolt to where the main relay is attached under the dash because I know sooner or later that main relay will give me an issue.

Whats the harm in trying to see if another one gives you the same issue? *shrugs*

Here is the Factory Service manual flow chart. Maybe this will help. Good luck.

The injector resistance should be 1.5-2.5

Yeah I wasn't sure if you had the flow chart or not, figured it may give some insight to it.

Maybe also check your thermostat housing ground make sure it's making good contact.

Also according to the main relay fix website, says that usually when you get code 16, it's because the ECU isn't getting proper power to the main relay. This is why I would def check your ground at the thermostat housing.

i love that site

well i pulled the main relay it does look like it needs to be re soldered for sure. crazy thing today i reset the ecu and the code didn't come on. the car idled smooth and drove smooth it wasn't until i came back and tried to start it again that the code came back the car started on the third try is when i decided to pull the main relay.

checked resistance top injector was like 8.1 bottom was 1.7 looks like the top one might be done if thats the case. hmmm maybe i should send them in to be cleaned and refurbished?.

t-stat ground makes contact good i mean to be on the safe side i can dremel the surface but its good.
