Wanting to swap stuff from my '90 Si project to my '90 DX, some questions.
I've been working on a 1990 Honda Civic Si hatchback for about 7 months, but it's just too far gone for me to continue the project. The only thing making it an Si anymore is the back seats, the drivetrain, and the VIN...so it won't even be worth that much unless I spend a lot of time and money on Si parts which I don't want to do.
During the build I found a very clean '90 Civic Dx hatchback with bad piston rings, I was going to use it for parts but it is too nice to butcher so I want to swap over my drivetrain, front brakes, struts and coilovers, and most of the new parts from my Si and then sell the Si as a roller with all the DX parts on it. If someone else wants to build it back up to be a true Si, more power to 'em because I'm not doing it.
Apart from the dpfi-to-mpfi conversion, what else should I be aware of? I have new upper adjustable control arms / lower ball joints / outer tie rods / calipers / rotors / master cylinder so I'd like to just swap the whole hub assemblies + outer tie rods + master cylinder over to the DX, will this work fine? Do I even need to swap the MC? Will this all be interchangeable for the most part?
I'm pretty sure I have the drivetrain swap covered, got a nice walkthrough bookmarked on that. I'm also pretty sure the suspension swap is fairly straightforward. Just not sure on the brake stuff and the outer tie rods.

Everything you want to do is a case of swap parts from one car to the other, there should be no fitment problems at all.
Is there a point in swapping the MC? I can't figure out if they're different, but the one on my Si is brand new so I'd probably like to use it on the DX anyways.
I think they are the same but like Arthas said check the numbers and look to see that the lines come out the same side.
If all is good then put the new one on the DX.
