integra GSR tranny VSS PLUG issue help quick
So i swapped my 1995 JDM GSR y80 b18C tranny into my 1995 b18b1 engine.
everything botled up fine and im still in process of torquing things and putting the axels etc in.
but the problem im having is the harness connector does not seem to wanna plug into the VSS connection.
I inspected the plug from the harness and the plug the vss has and the connections look liek they shoudl work.
they look exactly the same as my old one on old tranny.
pics are below so you guys can get a look at the two plugs.
this is the plug from the harness

this is the plug from the vss gsr tranny it wont go into.

Will i be able to make this work or will i have to take this VSS out and swap it with my other one from the LS tranny? and are they interchangeable / will they work?

You see the rubber piece on the inner side of your vss, that rubber piece should be on the inside of the actual harness plug. I believe that is keeping it from going in all the way.
i dont think that is rubber is it ?
u mean the piece inside?
pretty sure its a peice of the vss.
but hey if i cant get this to plug in direct, can i change this vss out with my ls vss and ittl work?
the plug will then work but will the vss work with this tranny?

I'm pretty positive. On the connector there should be a rubber piece outlining the center white piece. It's missing on your connector in the picture above. I'll take a picture of mine later and post it for you.
After I run a 12k marathon.

I think he's right.. I've had connectors do this too, where the internal spacers stay on the other side when you remove the connector.
Take a pair of needle nose pliers and gently pull, should come right off.
If you compare the connectors on the two trannys, you should be able to see the diff.
Good luck
