I have A 95 civic EG hatch that has had a d15b vtec swapped into it. Well i believe the head gasket just blew in it and i'm looking to swap a B16a in it that has been sitting in my garage for some time.

Well ive searched the site and have found a lot of good info on doing this swap but was wondering about the mounts and shift linkage. i have the driver and passenger side mounts from a delsol and they match the set that is on the d15b. i was wondering if the mounts and shift linkage from the d15b would work on the b16a swap. the second issue im running into is that the driverside engine bracket (the one in the area of the timing chain) has been replaced on the b16a because it was in a crx. will the d15b one work? if not WTB one because i cant find one. any help would be appreciated

 

well i am doin a b18b1 swap into my eg coupe... soo from what i know the shift linkage from the d15 wouldnt work because i had to change mine to integra linkage.. idk about the brackets i went the safe way and bought brackets and mounts from an integra..

 

thanks for the quick reply. i looked up the part numbers for the mounts from a Del sol with a b16 and they match the current mounts i have in my hatch at the moment but yeah i may have to by the teg mounts . anyone else?

Correct me if I am wrong, but from what I understand you will need integra: mounts, linkage, axles, etc. Hope this helps.

 

b series axles and linkage. dc integra t bracket. timing side mount is the same, i always use dc integra trans mount. not sure what ecu youre running... p28 is ok temporary, but usdm p30 is great... and someone is selling one on here cheap.

 

k , i have the axles and p30 guessing i just need to find some dc mounts and that t bracket... having so much trouble finding that for a decent price. thanks for the info
