Swap Started For the First Time, Now No Spark
I re-wired the distributor and this time I started cranking it and she started up. Wasn't running good, probably about 30 seconds total and I had to keep on the gas a little to keep it running. After that there was nothing, now I don't have spark to any of the plugs. Do you think I need a different distributor, can I use the one that I had on my 90 si? Do I just swap the entire thing out?
I swapped the dizzy with another I had in my garage, they both had the same number on the back like D2420. Now I have spark and it runs but not well, it doesn't run without my foot on the gas, doesn't idle and is jumpy.
make sure timing is about 17 , make sure u have good 91 gas, make sure it sounds good when u rev it , if it does it may be tps or icv, or try turning the air/idle screw.
17? I suppose that is a timing gun number. Do they rent timing guns at AutoZone or normal auto stores?

17 degrees, and yes, autozone usually has timing guns to rent.
Will I be able to set the timing even though the engine doesn't idle yet, and can you adjust the timing via rotating the distributor while the engine is running?

I just found a vaccuum line that got knocked off on top of the throttle body, I doubt it will solve all my problems, so do I need to work on getting it to idle before I can start messing with timing?
