New Distributor Or TDC Sensor

I have a 99 Civic LX. It is throwing the TDC Sensor. I heard the sensor is inside the Distributor. Is it better to just get a new distibuter, than me opening all that up and trying to change that sensor?

What code specifically is it? TDC is not serviceable so you will need a new distributor

You can't buy the sensor on it's own either way so you'll have to swap the whole distributor.

O I did not know you could not buy sensor seperate thought I saw some places

SO to fix the sensor code just go ahead and replace the distributor? I know it is this sensor because the car when warmed up the rpms drop low
