I'm not an expert but I've always heard that regrinds compromise strength. I personally wouldn't use them.

not at all.

honda uses awesome steel in their OEM cam. regrinds, imho, are the best way to go.

i would rather use a properly reground cam that is made of good steel, over some random chinese steel junk cam that squares the lobes off and takes out your rockers.

the down side of regrinds is theres only so much lift you can add by shrinking the base. and theres only so much thread on the valve clearance adjusters.

Bisimoto also offers quality regrinds. You can buy them with or without a core.

Running regrinds this summer, numerous friends run them as well. No complaints and no problems.

lobe seperation angles,

LSA is the Lobe Separation Angle or the number of degrees between the intake and exhaust lobe centerlines

you are aware that just because you have max lift and duration figures you wont be able to copy the cams profile, right?

theres much more to a cam than max lift and duration....
