D16Y8 VTEC To JDM D15B VTEC Swap
Hi all just looking for a little help here. First off my car is a 1998 Civic Si Coupe currently with a blown d16y8 vtec.
I have a Jdm d15b vtec with very low K from my 92 EG that's going in by the end of the week.
Can anyone who has done this swap give me a little info? I have done my research but a little confused.
Is it a Direct Swap or would I need a Obd2a to Obd1 Conversion Harness? Anything else? Thanks

its fairly straightforward, it just depends on what exact d15b you have. some are 3 stage vtec, some are not, and some are from obd1 vehicles while others obd2. If its an obd2 engine i would just run it obd2 since all the sensors the ecu would look for will be there. If it's an obd1 engine then i definitely recommend converting to obd1.
It's a d15b vtec as in the japenese 130HP, 1 stage vtec. It's from my 92 hatch which is a obd1 and my 98 being a obd2a correct? So would i use the jumper?
