Default Factory crossmember/ tractior bar bolts stripped wtf

So one bolt on each side of my tractior bar is stripped, meaning i have 2 bolts one on each holding the traction bar up!!!! I know avid makes a traction bar setup that works with the tow hooks etc. i was told that it would be very difficult to retap those holes being that they are very deep in the chassis

This is my solution in my head what i was thinking would be best. Works with tow hooks. please reply with info

there is actually a nut that was tack welded back there, probably fell down in the chassis. i have one that needs this too, i was thinking of cutting a small slot to get at it.

I am pretty sure that re-tapping the bolt is not an option. To fix it correctly, you may have to cut an "access" hole and tack weld on a new nut to the inside of the frame rail.

Here is a writeup on a problem that happens to the rear tow arm bolt. The solution is conceptually similar to what they did in this thread. Hope this helps.
