Default Painting Valve Cover

I want to paint my valve cover a Flat (matte) Black color--- so it kinda cleans up the engine bay a litt.e Any recommendations on how to strip the old paint off the valve cover?? Or what to do to prep it before i paint it?? Thnx guys!

Go to walmart or a hardware store and get some industrial paint stripper or Airplane Stripper. I bought a can of airplane stripper, and it works great, u rub it on with an old brush or soemthing(dont touch, or u will loose lots of skin) and let it sit for liek 10 mins, then hose it off, and the black factory coating will wash away... good luck....
