Default Quaife K-series drag-race specific LSD

I wanted to take a minute to shed some light on Quaife's K-series drag race specific differntial. Part number QDF9U.23DG

The 23DG was designed to improve the characteristics of the standard QDF9U in a FWD drag race application by reducing the torque bias ratio, or the torque "difference" between the two axles. Though, by design, a Quaife will never fully lock, the 23DG has a TBR closer to 1:1 when compared to the standard QDF9U. This is adventageous for putting equal power to the ground through both axles, which reduces torque steer and speed scrubbing corrections.

Internally, it is a classic Quaife Torque Biasing Differntial with helical cut gears, so you can still run it on the street without issue. However, if you're specifically looking for performance in corners, you'll want to stick with the standard QDF9U, as it will power the axle with traction harder and "work" to pull you through the corners better than the 23DG.

Like all Quaife differentials, it's made from high-quality billet gear steel, is maintainence free, uses OEM fluids, and is backed with a Lifetime Warranty. It's designed to be a drop-in replacement for the OEM K-series differential, so installation is very straight forward.

I've taken steps to ensure our dealer network is adequately supplied. If you have any questions, please contact your favorite Quaife dealer, or feel free to call, e-mail, or pm me.

Thanks for reading!

Best Regards

PSA: Quaife USA will have an "accross-the-board" price increase effictive 9-15-2011.

We've loaded up our warehouse, so take advantage of current pricing while you can.

On average, prices will be increasing ~9.5%. This is entirely due to our weakening dollar in the global market, not for more profit. 1 year ago, a British Pound was worth $1.56. Today, it's $1.64 and there's no speculation for improvement anytime in the near future.

I sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support.

Best regards,
Scott
