Motul Tranny fluid? problems?
I have just changed to Motul tranny fluid, but afterwards, I heard that it could kill my LSD?? I did a search and most ppl recommend honda MTF. So what should I do now? is there a real problem to it? or just a myth?
Motul is a fine oil and I seriously doubt it will do any damage...unless you are using some obscenely heavy weight....
in which case it'll likely kill your entire tranny because it is too thick.....

I would stick with Honda Mtl. I love Motul motor oil but every brand of non honda oil in my tranny has caused me problems. Tried redline MTL, and it killed my GSR tranny synchros. Tried some other brand, can't remember and it made the synchros grind early as well. Now I use Honda only and have never had any problems. If the Motul you are using is synthetic which is what I suspect it is, it will probably be too slick and the synchros will grind. Still, I have never used Motul.
