Default what would you pay for a 98 base lude with JRSC??????

a friend of mine has a mint 98 lude base model. it has a shitload of mods including a jackson supercharger. the car has like 50K on it, and has had the mods for like 5K. he is wanting to sell it and do a sylvia conversion. he has tanabe sustec pro SS full coilovers on it, i think an ingalls camber kit, rec valve cover, aem intake, DC header, N1 catback exhaust with test pipe, JUN flywheel, ACT clutch, brembo drilled rotors all around with axxis pads, i think stainless lines, jackson BTC, VAFC, maybe more, but i forget. anyway, he was wanting 15K for it. i thought it sounded liek a hell of a deal!! but no one has been interested. it has a clan title, and is a great car. if anyone thinks they might be interested let me know. if ya think hes too high, let me know. thanks

frank

Its actually not that bad. NADA retail value on the car is $14950. So you would be paying a little over retail for an already modified Prelude. If you've got the money I'd say go for it.

i think thats a great price, so long as everthing else about the car is in order. whats the deal with our crappy blue book value... seams like the prelude has deprecated more than other hondas... its a GREAT car, i dont understand...

also i depends on where the seller is, geographic diferances mare a differance in price (we get shafted here in MI )

It's on its own platform and discontinued, that probably has something to do with it.

as far as i know, he only has a VAFC and the BTC. i dont know if he upgraded the fuel system. hes only running like 5.5 or 6 psi. the car is located in central Illinois. i would love to have it, but i am in school, and only work like 12 hours per week. i have a 94 VTEC lude that i bought a week ago. it suites me just fine. i forgt the car has spoon rear strut tower bar, and DC lower tie bar. also has 3 pillar guages...boost, oil pressure and a/f guage i think. heres the link to his ebay auction that ended without meeting the reserve: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1859363717

if you might be interested in the car, email me and ill hook you up with this guy. hes legit, and all the work has been done professionally and he has reciepts. vtecgsr95@mcleodusa.net

If he runs another auction, I'd suggest he take out the part about street racing. Not too many people want to buy a highly modified car, especially one that has been raced. Other than that the car looks really clean. I'd suggest a compression test, though.

If he's wants to sell some individual parts, I'm interested in the valve cover & spoon strut bars.

well, i think everyone has raced there car, whether it be on the street or on the track. most people wont admit it though because they are afraid it might cause someone to doubt the life of the engine. i race every car i have. we dont buy cars that redline at 7-8.5K to put around. everyone beats on their cars at one time or another. i am sure he would care less if someone wanted to do a compression test though. and if ya think about it, it really isnt that highly modded. it has pretty much I/H/E and JRSC. thats plenty to start with, but people will eventually want more. excellent car though. oh, and he wont part the car out.
