Hey guys im just curious if i should get 2000 ITR cams? i hear the exhuast cam dont make big difference its just the intake cam...

But im mainly just wanting to know if they are gonna make a noticable difference over GSR cams that i have...

once i have the ITR cams if its a good idea im gonna get a base map from phearable.net and be running 4-1 headers,3" intake blox intake manifold, and 2.5 exhaust in a 91 civic si

so will i feel a noticeable difference from gsr cams if i get 2000 ITR cams?

In short, yes. you will notice a difference. Not as much of a difference without a tune or any other mods. If you opened up the intake and exhaust and tuned it, you would notice quite a difference.

They are an excellent upgrade for the B16a but the Skunk 2 stage 1 cams are just the next step away with even more power.

 

ya for sure i wanna get some tuner cams but they get spendy geuss im just have to be patient and save up the cash for skunk2 cams or could i trade some itr cams plus cash for a good deal on tuner cams?

 

I would stick with the ITR cams. tuner cams your gonna have to chip and tune your ecu for peak performance and still do some porting on your head.

 

Yeah if i get ITR cams im still gonna get it tuned but i wouldnt be doing any porting

 

you need to port either way, or just stick with your stock stuff. it wont be that big of a difference for you to switch cams if you dont port.

 

geuss ill just get ITR for now then cuz i dont have extra money for port as long as i get a noticeable difference with ITR cams and a base map ill be happy lol

 

Ide ask around for a good porter cause you can find them for around $200 sometimes.

You do not NEED a port job for stg1 or ITR cams. Does it help? Sure it does but gains will be made regardless with eithcset of cams and a good tune. I would suggest tuner 1s, you'll be happier with the results

 

you dont need porting for up too 200whp...a valvejob and port matching should be more than enough..for a b16

 

Itr or Ctr, should make a difference and arent as pricey as other cams.

 

Yeah for sure any1 got some stage 1 tuners and some skunk2 valve springs and type r retainers?
