hey guys new to the site and just started my first project, a 91 civic dx.i bought it as a shell and there are sum things i want to upgrade like the climate control. i want to swap out it for a crx climate box with a/c(want to if this is possible with motor swap). might start a thread soon just to show progress and to get sum along the way. help is greatly appreciated and hope to have this on the road soon.

yes, crx climate control is possible to swap in. you need to source the electric vent control unit (bolts up to the civic manual one), electric fresh air vent (bolts up the same), and then finding a good shape CRX climate control...


thats the accord climate control. find one, get the pigtails. they're more common so they are much cheaper.

either route is pretty easy, we'll help you out if you need it. just make sure to ask specific questions and use google my friend. "accord crx climate control"

 

+1 on the accord climate control. Put one in my crx and ill never look back.

 

i guess if the factory controls are broken it makes sense to swap in one that works if you cant find the right replacement. but putting one in from another car just cause its diff seems a bit much IMO
