So today I picked up my girlfriend and she went to open the door. Well shes clumsy enough but some how broke my door handle off and fell down. Was funny at the time cause I was more worried about my door lol. So the question I have is how hard is it to get the old door handle off and get a new one. From what I`ve seen their 20 bucks at the most on ebay. Unless you guys no where to get one for a better price. I`ll also have to paint it too.

 

pretty easy, just open up the door panel, and remember to change the locks out. changing that is probably the most difficult will take you for sure less than an hr.

 

For me it was easy except for the Lock cylinder. The pins that hold it in place are a bitch to get to and I dropped it more than once and let the tumblers fall out. Other than that, wasn't too troubling.

 

^that's what got me, 3 try's later I got it.

Removing the handle really isn't difficult, but the lock clylinder will likely make you swear at your car, and in my case throw things.

If you have ever been in the door before, and have some clue how to work on a Honda I don't think i would take more than a hour/ 1.5.

It took me a 1.5 start to completely done, but I was messing around with the window too.

I highly advise trying to find a used OEM handle, or buying a NEW OEM handle. There is far to much junk on ebay that likely won't fit like it should.
