Need help!!! determining what this turbo is. searched
im not sure what it is. its a garret m24 .50 cold side and i believe its a .63 or .83 hot side. No nameplate only other numbers i found are on cold side housing 994910 and 9524410m. any help is appreciated
So measure the inlet and outlet wheel correct? I need to remove the housings for that I would assume? I have no source to ask where the unit came from
Post up some pics of the exhaust side. It should also say a AR some where on it. Usually on the side closer to the center housing under the mounting flange.
Some of the things I am coming up for it say its from a diesel just searching Garrett M24 .50AR
EDIT: By your oil line feed under the front flange bolts you can see some writing. Thats where its goin to say the AR of the turbine side.

Its not the same one. This one is a 5 bolt ford style with a .83 turbine. the 5 bolt in the one you used is a .48ar.
everything I am finding is leading towards it being a stock Diesel turbo.

That isn't the same one we used, my brothers is the 57trim compressor, and ford 5-bolt style .63a/r housing,

Seeing as how you can get the same turbo with a variety of housings, I still think it could be it.

I don't think so. Does it have coolant ports on the chra?
My guess is its journal bearing. We made 413@22psi on a stock b16 with the one I posted above.

Since ^this turbo is used, you might have to man handle the turbine housing to get it off.
after going to the garrett website and using the trim calculation and using 50 ar inducer and 63 ar exducer i got 63 trim. does this seem correct?
