Short of it, I have a running 91 Accord LX and a non-running 91 Accord LX. I want to swap the door locks from the old one to the new one.
My chilton Manual says that there are parts(clips) involved in the swap inside the door that are likely to break while removing the parts. I've learned to regard the manual as general and inaccurate, is what its saying true?
Both cars are white, and I've considered just swapping the whole door, but my old Accord had window motor and window track issues, the new one works flawlessly.
I'd like to avoid a special trip to the nearest Honda dealer for new parts(50 miles), what would you do?

I'd be more worried about the clips that hold the lock rod to the lock and or actuator than the door panel clips....just me.

Yes, this is exactly what I'm worried about...............guess I'll just have to ready to do a drive if I need to on my weekend. I'm a surgeon when it comes to working on cars, maybe I'll luck out, thanks to all!

There was a little C clip that connects to the lock cylinder, it looks brittle, but I got it off just fine. Also a heavier wire clip that came off fine too.
I should be able to get these swapped OK. Then I'll do the back seat lock, the complete glove box, the complete trunk lid, and the driver side trunk release.
