Wiring B17a in crx: Will it work?...HELP!...
Will my B17a ('92 GSR engine) wire up perfectly on a CRX SI or HF, using the CRX wiring harness or will I need to run my '92 GSR wire harness through??
THANX any info will be appreceated!

I would just leave it in the teg and build it up. Those GSR's are pretty hard to come by, I would hate to see another one go.
I would just rewire the CRX to run the new motor and ECU. It is the cheapest and best way to go. It is also really not that difficult. It is certainly easier than trying to make 1992+ Integra harnesses work in your car. And it is MUCH cheaper than having to buy a PR3/PW0 and distributer.
im running the p61 which is the 92-93 gsr ecu. you can use the crx harness and wire it up to the ecu(obd1). you would have to add the vtec wires.

Keep the stock Hf/Si harness, run one of my conversion harnesses that will plug into your stock ecu harness, then this will allow you to run all the OBD1 electronics....ECu, Distributor, etc. Email me if interested in the OBd0-OBD1 conversion harness.

Joe from LoCash Racing also sells these harnesses. I would get this from one of these guys and run the OBD-1 electronics. That motor will run best with its own P61 ecu.
Plus, you dont have to worry about the OBD-0 distributor going out and trying to locate another one. They are becoming more rare.
I too just aquired a B17 (U.S. spec) that I will be installing in a CRX. It will be my first B-series swap into an EF that is running newer OBD-1 electronics.

the world doesn't need another b series crx, but b17a gsr's are freaking dooope.

yeah don't kill another gsr aren't many of um build that
Well I already have a ECU that goes with the B17a( I have the whole '92 teg GSR in my garage)
Thanx for all your advise One thing I didn't mention was that the car was totaled in a wreak and that is why I'm taking the B17a out and swapping it because its still good and runs great. I loved the car but it wasn't meant to be!
if you have all the parts and are trying to keep it emissions legal then you either have to rewire the car to use the gsr harness or a guy named vernon at ravermotorsports makes a harness adapter for the civic that can convert your car to OBD1 without rewiring the car. then the easy way is to just get a PR3 orPWo ecu and B16A dist and that works fine. here is vernon's number (559)733-4711
