I don't want to put something in there that will eventually come off and enter the coolant system. I think I'll use hondabond since I have it lying around.
Just apply even coverage on bolt threads, right?

BTW - I have a block heater instead of the normal drain bolt. Do I just unplug the block heater and turn counter clockwise? What size socket do I need?
I would use thread sealer instead. You can get it at pepboys for 4 bux. Loctite brand.
