Default Liquid gasket for the block coolant drain...

Can I use Hondabond for the block coolant drain bolt? How much should I apply?

use some silicon.

you can use whatever you want. hell, you can use jb weld if it suits you

its just to ensure there isnt a leakage.

I don't want to put something in there that will eventually come off and enter the coolant system. I think I'll use hondabond since I have it lying around.

Just apply even coverage on bolt threads, right?

sure can...you dont have to apply a lot, just enough to seal it around

BTW - I have a block heater instead of the normal drain bolt. Do I just unplug the block heater and turn counter clockwise? What size socket do I need?

I would use thread sealer instead. You can get it at pepboys for 4 bux. Loctite brand.

No sealant, there is an 28mm aluminum crush washer 90401-PR4-000 used.
