Default Made it to the Dyno Finally

Today I made it to the dyno for Dyno Day at Hybrid Dynamics. $50 for 3 pulls, hell yeah. Anyways, looking for a little input on what I put down, not really disappointed, or pleased, I believe it's where I should be considering the stuff robbing me. I have a GSR block, P30 pistons, stock B16 head, with the lame cams and intake mani. I have a shitty 2.5" AEM CAI, and an RMF header, along with a semi-decent basemap I made last week, and an Apexi WS2 exhaust to a test pipe. I tweeked the basemap, and plan to throw the new one on soon, and I'm getting a better intake mani, 3" intake, a velocity stack, and eventually Pro2 cams with valve train. VTEC is set at 5200 rpm, I made 155whp at 7800 rpm, and it pulled smooth all the way. Torque was 116 ft/lbs at 5500 rpm. COnditions were 74 degrees, 27% humidity, 28.64-in hg, and 1.03 SAE. Will post pics later.

torque is low...maybe dyno read low...but it looks smooth...a/f graph would help...

so you just did pulls? Has the car ever been tuned? I'd blame the tuning or lack of it for the low power numbers.

He said he has a base-map, which is just a best-guess. You're actually where I'd expect to see you given the stock cams and basemap. The P30 pistons aren't helping you out any without upgraded cams. I think once you get your cams and a better intake, you'll see that motor wake up. What compression are you running now? Pro2 may be a bit over-cammed for your setup. Pro1s would be perfect. The WS2 will be holding you back a bit though...but I understand why you have it. I run one too and am willing to lose a bit to keep the cops off my tail.

Be sure your timing is perfect.. My set up is
Gsr block usdm itr pistons
Gsr head itr cams
Skunk 2 intake mani.. 3" Sri with bpi stack
Dc header/: and 3" exhaust
Tuned on Neptune.. Car made 163whp.. I immediately knew something was wrong.. Went home and pulled the timing cover and timing was off by 2 teeth.. Set it to TDC and went back to the dyno.. Ended up making 185whp 138tq.. With a shitty dc header

Actually, B16's generally run about 140 whp, stock, if that... Of course I am only making 15 whp over a stock B16 lol, this is basically just a GSR with a B16 head. The shitty cams and intake manifold are killing it! Stock GSR's still really only run 145-150whp, and that's with larger cams and intake manifold. Torque is about 5 ft/lbs less then where it should be, but the fact the motor can't breathe, and a home made basemap that was my first one can explain that. I wanted an afr reading, but that wasn't in the $50 But yeah, I understand, get rid of the simple ****, and my motor will wake up and produce real numbers. Dennis at Hybrid said he did numerous builds like mine, and all made the same almost exact power. He said with an intake mani, throttle body, 3" intake tubing, and velocity stack, they were making 180whp, which is where I'd love to be. Pro1's I thought would be perfect, but after more reasearch, there are numerous threads on Pro2's making more power all over than Pro1's on mild builds, so that's why... Killakey, that's not bad at all, but take into consideration you have ITR cams and an intake mani, and 3" intake, and stack lol. If I had that, I'd be making a lot more... Thanks for input.

And 3" will be your best friend I picked up 8-10 whp across the entire power band over 2.5"

See, we were gunna throw a 3" V-stack on, but with me only running 2.5", that's EXACTLY what Dennis said haha. "Dude, you know that small *** intake is robbing you 8-10whp?" Yeah, but right now Uncle Sam is robbing my pocket, along with the Taliban with their gas prices.

Haha my bad. Yeah 3" would be nice, once I finish my build, I'd like to run 3", but right now I like laying low.

3 inch with some resonators and a cat will keep you low til you step on it.

I have 3" cat back no resonators to a 3" obx forza (ws2 look-a like) and it's nice and quiet until I get on it
