Default DC sway bar

I got the trailing arms off a 94 Teg and the lower control arms and sway bar. will this sway bar work on my 89 sedan?

Swaybar bolts up completely different than a DC. You'd probably need some ASR bar to make it work.

I really wouldn't bother.

LCA's from a DA/DC are different than EF.

You should have researched before just buying parts. You don't need those LCA, you will be reusing your stock ones.

it'll work. only thing is you'll need to run a ASR brace. your camber/ toe might be off also because the geometry of the LCA's are different.

the EG/DC swaybar bolts to the subframe. EF/DA use brackets to the frame of the car. i think this is better, but probably got in the way of the exhaust when they redesigned the car.

yes but you are very confused. DA and DC are not the same either so you are not correct. DC arms are the same geometry as the EG, which is also the same geometry. so DC arms would help. the DC arms are much beefier in general too. the DA arms are not longer, they just have the shock position in the wrong place.

he should be reusing his stock LCA anyway because he should not bother trying to use the DC swaybar like i originally said.

like i said, geometry of the lower control arms of the DC and EF are not different. camber and toe shouldnt be different. unless something was bent. but a full alignment is always necessary after messing with the suspension.

just get a ST bar or something. there are several topics in the FAQ on rear swaybars.

?????

ether im miss understanding you or you are miss understanding me.

if he wants to go this route, he'll need to use the DC LCA. if he reuses his stock LCA, it won't come with a swaybar mounting area.

if he goes this route, all he needs is a ASR brace. as far as i can remember, if you were to buy a ASR sway bar/kit. it'll mount up just like any other 92-00 civic/integra. which is at the subframe.

if op want's to sell this and go with a ST setup, that'll work fine also.

the 94 Teg had the sway bar with brackets to the subframe and where it bolts at on the Teg, there are threadless holes on the sedan, which makes me think it could be bolted there using the brackets and welding the lca brackets onto my civic lcas

if you really wanted to go the cheap route, you could just get a bolt and nut and bolt the D brackets up to your sub frame. it's only a stock DC sway bar so it's only 14mm(or was it 13mm?) so you should be fine. to get to the back side of the subframe, when you drop your LCA's you'll be able to reach it.

is this sound advice, no. but this is a route you can go. kind of ghetto.

Ugh, I meant EF/DA, not EF/DC, mount to the frame.

Sorry.

"welding the lca brackets"? Thatd be pretty ghetto. Just use Si lca.
