Default ran out of gas filled up and no start?

I ran out of gas 1 mile from home and walked to get some gas once i put 1-2 gallons of gas in the tank the car still wont start, tried jump starting it with my friends car then tried push starting it and still nothing. I bought a new battery for it and it still wont start. It cranks and the relay under the dash clicks and i can smell fuel under the hood, so some how its not getting spark now? wtf. also checked oil and the oil is probabaly a quart low does that make a difference?

Probably burned the fuel pump out. Its bad to run the car out of gas cause the pumps overheat, and believe it or not the gas actually cools the pump.

I would definitely check though that its getting spark. You checked and made sure that there is fuel pressure?

How do you check for fuel pressure?

Another question... Can you put gas or starting fluid directly into the intake manifold to start a civic, or does it need the pressure to start/run?

Not trying to hijack here, just lost my old login info and set up a new account, so I can not start new threads.

Yes u can start the car with starter fluid directly into the intake. But, you better make sure you have spark first or you are wasting your time.

Make sure you can hear the fuel pump . You might have burnt it our and it might not be making enough pressure. Also make sure you cycle the key to the on position like 10 times to get all the lines full of fuel "if the pump works" . Also keep your foot off the gas when starting it.

where your fuel filter is, the little bolt on it, loosen it. Then get a rag and maybe another person to see if gas comes spewing out when you turn the key to the on position.
