05 Civic EX - Crank Position Sensor
My wife drives a 05 Civic EX auto coupe, we bought it only two months ago, did fine at first but wasn't long before it threw a crank position code, had sporadic idling, no power and would not rev over 3000 or so rpm. That was a month ago.
Had a friend with a junk D17 with what was said to be a good sensor on it, he gave me the sensor and I installed it. That fixed the problem, for the time being. Three days ago it started the same problem, throwing the same code, and was completely undrivable. Didn't cut any corners, I went ahead and just bought a new sensor. Installed the new sensor, fixed the problem... and now three days after installing it, it's doing the same thing. Same code, some performance issue. Both used sensors were Denso, and the new one I bought was Denso.
Only thing else worth mentioning is it recently showed a temp sensor circuit code, also. That problem comes and goes, and I have yet to fix it.
Surely these sensors aren't all bad, including the new one. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The job isn't that bad if they are in fact bad, but seriously the odds aren't that great.

You either have:
1. An open between the CKP and the main relay
2. An open between the CKP and G101 (G101 is the engine ground right next to the upper rad hose)
3. An open/short between the CKP and ECM/PCM
4. A bad or un-updated ECM/PCM
