Default 95 EX Brake Lamp Light

I have searched the forum and I am wondering how do I fix this. When I hit the brake, I noticed the 3rd brake light in the rear "dash" wasn't turning on which probably triggered the "brake lamp" light in the instrument cluster. I replace the bulb which was burnt out and now it works. Now when I hit the brakes, the top of the rear tail lights do not illuminate, but the 3rd brake light in the rear is working. Also, I noticed that the high beams are turning on when I turn on the lights with the headlight switch. Brake fluid is topped off and its not the light that indicates the emergency brake is on. Any suggestions?

Yup, when an electrical fault with a bulb occurs the brake light will illuminate.

Check that no other bulbs are burnt out, also check the wiring and bulb to board connections. Check the circuit boards for faults.

Did you try turning them back off by putting the high beam switch back to low beam?

Thanks Mike.

It was one bulb, and killed the other bulb. Replaced both, and now they are working!
