2000 acord with 201k mile and i think rev limiter problem
Ok guys i need a little help. I just bought an acord coupe v6 from 2000 with 201k miles on it and i've incountered a little problem..... i dont know if my car has a rev limiter but when i try to accelerate fast it jams up on 3000 rpm and will not go farther just gets stuck there until i let my foot off the gas but i am able to go faster as long as i accelerate between 2000 & 2900 rpm!!! I have been able to get to a speed of 95 mph and i probably can go faster, its just that i find it VERY annoying not being able to accelerate more than 2.900 rpm!!!
SO CAN ANYBODY TELL ANYTHING USEFULL AND HELP ME OUT?

not a rev limiter problem. The car is in "limp mode". Limp mode is activated when there is a problem with the engine/electrical system.
Have someone scan for any error codes through the OBD II port.
