Default 2000 Accord

My wife drives a 2000 Accord with the 2.4 litre 4.

What is the designation of this engine IE H24?

Is it able to withstand some modification? Nothing major I'd just like to help it out some.

Suggestions?

RF

It's a 2.3 labeled F23A1 or F23A4. Those two engines are pretty much the same, but I think they switched them in 2000 or 2001. The engine is pretty tough and can handle some stuff, the auto tranny on the other hand sucks.

Hmmm, I coulda swore hers said 2.4 on the underhood sticker I'll check and see I might be losing my mind.

We love the car but it's needs some more power, I am a big block Chevy guy I have no idea where to start with the little Honda.

I'd like some suggestions on how to eek out a little more power with getting crazy.

Hers is a 5 speed btw.

Do you have any pics of yours with the 18 inch wheels? I'm trying to pick some out for hers right now. If you do send em to me at somerandomguy@charter.net Please.

I'll post some pics when I get them uploaded. I think I got a pretty good clean set of wheels. They'll be up a little later.
