94 Civic hatch - Won't start some times
So i did a turbo install on my 94 civic hatch SOHC about 10000 ago every things great other than some time it wont start on a hill unless i crank it for 5 min and some time after i drive it for a while, stop then try to start it again it takes 5 min for it to start again.
sounds like its not getting fuel, now i put bigger injectors, should i get a better fuel pump to make up for that? could that be my problem?

no codes
i did pull the idle air control valve because it had a weird idle an cleaned it up, helped the idle but not sure yet if it had anything to do with the won't start problem.

i have a HUNGRY as hell d16 that if i just try to start it. takes up to 5 min of cranking unless i have it at WOT befor i try to start it.
i dodn't know if honda uses a different Injector pules pattern for starting but if it does you may be over fueling at startup
if it starts out at a kind of bog/underload sound when it fire it's too much fuel.
if it starts up and the motor races (say alot higher then times when it starts right up with No problems) i would say it's lean.
also When was the last time you put in a fuel filter. and when/if you do a fuel filter remember to dump out the fuel into a CLEAN clear glass containor (pour from the inlet side A.K.A the line from the pump) so you can see if you have a ton of crap in there.
when i got my last car i did this and found out i had a TON of rust in the tank.

Yeah when it starts it rpms high, so it must be running lean.
i was going to change the filter but it shows no signs of a bad filter (should do it anyway though)

if you don't have a fuel pressure gauge on your fuel system get one.
it's a big help.
also the fuel filter can cuase a lean condition as it will restrict the flow of fuel to the injectors.
the bad news is sence you didn't upgrade the fuelpump when you tuned it there is a good chance if the fuel pump is going out the tune will be WAY off when you get a better pump
