i have an 88 sedan and ive heard a hatch exhaust will fit but you need to extend the tailpipe further out the back to clear the bumper.. can anyone confirm this or direct me somewhere with my answer? thanks!!!

 

You have to extend the pipe in two spots; One to clear the rear bumper, and one to extend after the cat. The bends over the rear "axle" are the same.

Hi, I was wondering can you just take the cat to a muffler shop and have them extend it? I recently ran into this issue when I put an exhaust on my 90 crx. The bend in the center pipe is almost touching the body, just needs 3-4 inches.
