zc = si from below the head (basically) for parts. I rocked a Comp Clutch lt flywheel/clutch setup from 92-00 civic dseriez on my dohc zc 5 spd when it was in my 88 w/ d16a6 engine... (sold 88,kept tranz for the dohc zc eng found in jy last month, lol)

Almost ver batim to what I said,yes... (search the FAQ,or on net for dohc zc part interchange and you'd find all ur dohc zc answers...)

BTW,I uzed my dohc zc 5 spd w/ 88-89 integra halfshaft (intermediate),and DA (90-93) Integra axles after removing dust shields from spindles, and fabbing block adapter plate for the d16a6 block...

I hope ppl who read this don't think the integra halfshaft is a direct bolt up to the civic D series block. I'd like to see a pic of that adapter plate you had to fab to make it work.

Op,
Because you are trying to use a 88 Si tranny, because its an 88, you need a hybrid clutch kit to make it work with your flywheel or use a 88 flywheel. I suggest just buying the hybrid clutch kit from clutchcityonline.com. Great customer service, oe exedy stuff.

Never said it was "direct bolt in" (thus why teh ADAPTER plate mentioned-+ sure I'll post a pic sometime, when I'm even more bored than now, lol)

OP,figured that you already knew about teh 88's having smaller clutch/21 splines since you already owned an 88 hf-BUT ACT (and others) make a 21 splined (88's have 21,all other yrs = 20) clutch disc that also enables you to use teh larger later 90+ up years 212mm flywheel contact surface... ACT old part # 4P212K (4 puck, solid but they have others)
