When I bought my ITR, it came with 2 keys. One was grey on the outside and had a silver inside with the ITR words on it. The other one only had silver on the part that says ITR. Are they both OEM? If not, which one is fake? This is from a 98 ITR.

I also have a couple questions regarding the 98 ITR:

1. Does it come with a grab handle on the passenger side?
2. Does it come with any sort of fender liner in the rear that blocks debris from getting under the bumper?
3. What makes the spare tire lid different on an ITR from any other Integra?
4. Is the radiator core support supposed to be painted black behind the lower grille opening?
5. What makes USDM ITR rear seats different from JDM ITR rear seats?

They both look OEM. One is just worn because it seems the person used that one more often.

1) Yes it does.
2)Yes there is fender liner all over. Front and rear.
3)They are all the same.
4) Don't know.
5) The USDM have the black tray in the middle. JDM do not. JDM seats do not fit without modification.

 

Thanks for the reply. The one in the top is the primary key. The one on the bottom I just got cut today. It was a blank when he gave it to me. I didn't notice the difference until now. The one on the bottom was brand new and has no hint of any silver coating on it.

 

The top one is the OEM one where the one on the bottom is made by an aftermarket company. Looks real though. I got lots of them for $10 a piece if any wants one.

Actually I believe all 98+ integras have plastic.

 

I think so too on the 98+.

Nice key... Too bad they didn't have those for the 00-01

 

At least the 00 have the red "A" but the 01 look like any other key.

I dont have a R, just a '98 GS. my car only came w/one key and its one of those cheap generic all silver keys. i want to get another key so i have 2, but i want a nice one that say Acura on it or has the Acura "A". everytime i go to the dealer they say they'll get them in a week and every time i go back, they still dont have any. you said the '00 keys have a red "A", that sounds nice, is there any way i could order that kind of key from the dealer or something?

 

But remember, the 00+ keys have an immoblizer in them and they cost like ~45 per key or something.

Strange.. I was told the exact opposite. I have both as well, and I was told by the dealer that the one with the crome (top key) if the fake that goes for $10. The bottom key is the one I was told is the real deal...

well i guess the '00 key is out of the question so is there a way i can order any other one that looks good? and are there anyother integra keys that dont have the chip in them and that look good? or do they all just say "ACURA"?

 

I got the second key (bottom in the pic) from Acura. Took 2 days to get it in after I ordered it This key does not have a "chip" in it.

 

How much was it? and i'm not sure if i want a Type-R key because i only have a GS, i'd probobaly get flamed prety bad for it.

 

List is $40.73 from the dealer... I got mine for a bit less

Load up calc.exe, make sure it's in scientific mode, put it in DECIMAL FORM, then type in 45,452, then click on BINARY, then click on HEX... you'll see that it's all the same....
