seeing as which gas to use is a big debate lets see how much these cars actually cost us. & why we might use one gas vs the other.

$2000 for my 90 si with an ls swap. Needed a car fast for a dd. It failed at being a dd. That's what I get for letting my brother check out a car instead of me. I think the car was worth about $200 in scrap money when I bought it.

Yeah my car is rust free. Just when I got it the wipers, brakes, turn signals, heater, cluster, headlights, taillights, rad, and radio. Thats the short list of either did not work or were broken and needed repair right away. After one week of ownership I had to take two days and swap the whole wiring harness. Then another day to swap the entire breaking system from front to back including new front calipers, lines, pads, rotors, and master cylinder. Then a used rad from a friend. Oh and the car leaks water up front really bad. Hunted for leaks but cant find them.

My first 91 std I traded a running 92 geo metro for a wrecked 91 ford probe and a 91 civic std with a "bad clutch" that ended up just needing the cable adjusted

My second an 89 std I bought for $200 with a bad distributor.

My third a 88 crx si I got for $350. It needs some minor body work (rust blegh) and alternator from sitting and a few other minor things.

And even though they are not ef's I also got a 92 lx sedan and 94 vx hatch for $350 each lol. The lx needed a main relay and the vx had a lot of miles and would not pass PA inspection any more.

I paid $5,000 for my Rex recently. Tahitian Green, JDM B16a, JDM front, minty stock 63k original miles. I consider it a great buy!

As far as gas only premium 93+ octane for my Honda's (except the Ridgeline)

Paid $50 for my 90 dx Crx that was going to get junked because previous owner couldn't get her running. My buddy fixed it in less than 10 minutes (tiling belt jumped). And driver her home.

Couple weeks later bought a complete wrecked 90 integra for $100. Stripped and it got my rear disc conversion and motor swap out of it.

Wow judging on what I'm reading you get what you pay for...hence I sold my 90' Civic Si in July for $5,800 with a stock B20. With the condition of my new 89' Si I would have easily paid $4k but I got lucky. I sold my low mileage Mitsu 3000GT with the intention of buying an 89' Si lol
