Default Recommended brand of oil? F22A1 141k

Self explanatory title. I always use Castrol GTX in my cars. What would everyone else recommend? Mileage is at 141k. I don't care about the price tag just want opinions thrown in. Also, I've heard synthetic will wear your seals up and cause leaks, true?

It does not really matter what brand of oil you use as long as it is API certified and you change it. If Castrol GTX has served you well then continue using it! I personally am a Pennzoil guy myself. No synthetics will not wear your seals, what they do do is a better job of cleaning and if the seal has a crack in that is plugged by dirt the synthetic will clean it out and it will start leaking. Here is a link http://bobistheoilguy.com/ be prepared to do a lot of reading.

I have been using Castrol GTX or Valvoline Max for my car with 232K miles. Both seem to work the same and good with my car.
