9th Gen 2012 Honda Civic Officially Available Today
Official literature available on the Honda website

Cons: Rear end looks errrr..., plastic shifter bezel looks particularly cheap (gotta see it in person), and 7k redline on Si models.
Despite the cons i am over my racer boy days and i'm sorta excited to get a new Hybrid. Gas prices are killing me and they are only going to go up! The new Civic still uses the inferior IMA system compared to Toyotas Synergy Drive, though lithium ion batteries are a big step in the right direction since the batteries are the limiting factor in any hybrid or plug in vehicle. But with that said the IMA still gets the job done with similar real world gas mileage at ~50mpg on older Civic Hybrids and Insights.

i was gonna create a new thread for this but ill put it here, today the video for the first drive was released. The si trim is a little after halfway in the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlHA7...&feature=feedu
So i had the opportunity to test drive a 2012 Civic EX. As some of you folks have seen, front bumpers appear different from the DX, LX, HF, and Hybrid models compared to the more aggressive look of the EX, EX-L and Si models. Upon closer inspection it appears all Civic bumpers are the same except the higher models have a fog light trim and fog light added to the standard bumper. So i would assume this may be added to the lower models in the future. I took some close up pictures and i'll post them when i get done with work today.
Overall i would have to say the Civic feels more refined in the way it drives compared its outgoing model. It feels more solid rolling down the road and seems to dampen road noise a little better. The steering wheel and its controls could have been designed nicer but they feel and function perfectly.
