Default Ran out of Coolant

I noticed that my 01 4cyl eats coolant pretty damn fast.. I have no leaks and theres no smoke.. Luckily I had to replace my TB the other day and decided to check the fluids. To my surprise there was just about no coolant left and I refilled it 2 weeks ago. Where could it be going? What could be the issue?

I have a problem like that with my 99 accord. There is no visible leak (no puddle under car) no smoke and its not mixing with the oil. Now i just know to put more in every few weeks. I would like to see this problem solved i posted it up on everythinghonda and got no good feed back

I had this problem with my wifes Daewoo(may it rest in peace)... The head gasket was hosed and the coolant was making its way into the oil...

I have zero coolant in the oil, its just drinking the stuff. For this much to be "vanishing" it has to be going somewhere.

fill the coolant up, then run the car to make sure its not leaking from the water pump. it could be a pinhole leak that only drips making it seem like its not leaking.

look harder. if you still cannot find a leak invest in a cooling system pressure tester. pressure test your system. usually you can hear the leak with the tester putting pressure on the system as it's much more quiet than a running engine.

a cheap and easy part to throw at it; new radiator cap. on that thought, check that the overflow bottle isn't completely full. symptom of a leaky cap.

Apparently my leak got worse.. I see a puddle under the passenger side of the fan by the radiator sitting on top of the black plastic piece.. I cant see it dripping though from any hoses above anywhere. Not familiar with this cars coolant system layout but does anyone have a pic of the layout? From what I see there are 2 large hoses, one on top and on the bottom, and then the smaller one on top to the coolant overflow. I did have an auto trans put in recently and I believe there are coolant lines coming and going from it?

Normally if the leak is small enough, the pressure at idle will be less than when u got the throttle open so you won't see any leaks unless it's either being revved manually or driven.

great.. I just highly doubt its a hose, they are in good shape and the clamps are all on good..

BUT the small hose by the pressure cap is very loose, on the bottle its very tight and you cant twist it.. Im wondering if that is causing it..
