Hi, well I'm new to the honda scene, I got an 87 crx a bit ago for a DD, it gets 40mph so it's perfect for me. I've had quite a few cars, a couple mr2's, ae86, ae92, bmw e30, 89 toyota truck, and an 88 mazda 323 GTX.

Anyway my crx is all stock, well except for a racing seat I just put in it lol. I'll be auto-xing it for this season to just keep practicing. Next year I'll have a nice car built up for stage rally. But it will take quite some time and money building it, hence racing my seventy horse power crx lol.

It will stay all stock for some time, except for my race tires and seat. I want to get to know the car real good all stock. Then i'll probably put some money into suspension and a few engine mods like a webber and cam or something.

I have to say I am way impressed how it handles, and it's acceleration is pretty decent for how low hp it is, I did much better in my first race with that car than I ever imagined i would.

nice! congrats on the cool ride! good luck with it. i have seen a few been rally crossed before, so you aren't alone. they make great autocross cars though..

thanks! Yeah, there's a good amount stage rallied, but I actually won't be building this car for it. I want a rwd, i have much more experience with rwd on the dirt lol.

Thanks, I love my gtx too. It's got some really sweet old grp A WRC stuff on it. But sadly I'll probably be selling it. I need to start in 2WD N/A for stage rally, and don't want to build two cars.

 

Welcome! And I agree, you have some awesome cars. I think I want them all.

I'm hoping to get into autocross soon, and I was thinking that the CRX would be perfect for it, since I want to start with FWD and work my way to RWD.

...Dang, that 86. *drool*

 

Ya that 323 is sweet, welcome!

 

Add the biggest rear sway bar you can find to the CRX and you may not need to get back to RWD.
