B16A3 w/GSR trans. Will flywheel help?
I have a B16A3 with a gsr trans and a couple bolt ons. The gears are so damn long that even with my tune i don't have enough power to push the tranny to it's potential. I was wondering if putting a lightwieght flywheel like 12lbs. or lower would help at all?
It will. For obvious reasons, it would have more of a noticeable effect to get a B16, US ITR, or JDM ITR trans.
You do have it *** backwards tho... with that type of setup, you want the 1.8L motor and the 1.6L trans.

Lol thanks and I know its backwards. The kid that had it before me did it and idk why he'd wanna get rid of the b16 trans. But I'm doing a clutch soon so I wanted to make sure it would help beore I threw a flywheel at it lol.
Yup. I wouldn't go much lower than 12 lbs. for any type of daily driver just due to revs dropping between casual gear shifts through town and what not. But that's merely personal preference on my part.
Good luck!
