TEIN's are nice
how would the ride be with the tein's i know they are 16 way adjustable, but would it be a bouncy ride, or fairly smooth?

PM Fowler if you want a complete rundown: he's got Tein's with a 5-lug and a b18 in his EK and that thing handles better than a go-kart
i run bliestiens (neuspeed set up) on my ek, it handles very good! IMO i think the jdm suspension is kinda a hype, being i dont like fact that most basic coil overs come with progessive rate springs (not good for hard core) and fact that they run stiffer spring rates in front then rear? eric

wouldnt u want stiffer spring rates up front then in the back....more weight up front and wouldnt that help to reduce understeer and keep the car mroe neutral....am i off on this?

from personal experience I can tell you that Tein's absolutely own and, with the adjustability, they can be as harsh or stock-ish as you want them. they better your handling so much you'll wonder how you got along without them.

definitely NEX coilovers.
TEIN.
I got a set of HA's on my EJ1, I'll never go back to anything else. They are the best handling shocks I've ever owned, and I used to have Koni's with Skunk2 coilovers.
You can get SS or HA for around $1000.
PM me if you're interested.

i always thought it was the other way around
If the right front of your car is very stiff and you go around a left hand turn the same this will happen. The tire gets too much force acted upon it and it'll break loose. With the front somewhat soft it'll grab more. Likewise in the rear. With the right rear stiff (and w/ a big anti-sway bar) there will be more of a load transferred to that tire and it will want to break loose.
With a soft stock suspension you can go around a left hand corner, nail the gas, and feel the right rear squat absorbing the force. Now if that corner of the car had a fixed steel bar as it's spring/shock then there would be no absorbing done and the tire would have too much force put on it to keep traction (like the stiff leg ice skating). So for someone who wants oversteer, keep the rear stiff and leave the front a bit softer. Sway bars can also play a BIG role in creating over and understeer.
