Default P28 ECU?

Have any more of you guys tried this lately? It seems like it gives pretty good gains for the price. Any opinions of this on a I/H/E setup? I hear that Kenji's program is the way to go. I have a few questions.

1. How much does the OBD1 conversion harness cost?
2. Ease of install on a OBD2 car with harness.
3. Can I have the rev limiter custom set? I plan on sticking with stock cams or at least a mild cam setup so I would like my rev limiter set lower than 9,100rpms for safety reasons.
4. Can you switch between the chipped and stock ECU? If so would I be able to sell my stock ECU?

Thanks in advance. By the way I did a search but not everything was covered, and I wanted a more up to date answer.

Kenji does have some great N/A programs. I have a 00 R and I just got a p28 chipped by Hasport with a turbo program. I am getting my harness from blown90hatch.

P28 - I got for $100
Harness - $170 shipped from blown90hatch
Hasport program - $150 (Kenji probably has better prices just no turbo progz )

It is cake to install. I am doing it. The ecu is really easy to get to and it's just plug and play with the harness.

You can have a your rev limiter and vtec engagement set to whatever. I have my vtec at 5200 with no speed governer, no rev limiter, and more agressive fuel maps without aggresive timing for turbo. Well worth the money IMO. No rich/evap cel codes You loose the evap, sec o2 sensor, knock sensor, which can hinder performance, atleast it did for me. Hope that helps.

Will I still have to keep my stock ECU? I don't see why I would but who knows. Is a stock ITR ECU something worth selling?

if all you're going to do is install chipped p28 ecu, you can switch to stock ecu at any time, install/uninstall is very easy..

btw.. i wouldn't rev past 8500 on stock injectors.. my stock injectors were running over 100% duty cycle at ~8500.

You can up the fuel pressure, but that could lead to more oil being burned.. (not sure about that one)

your other option is p72 ecu that has knock sensor - almost useless since it works below 5K and partial throttle

If you're springing for a P28 & adaptor harness, get the Hondata S200 system. Some of the one size fits all programs are OK, but they're far from optimal and usually murder your gas milage. Premium ain't cheap.

What's cheap? I paid $170 shipped, which is allot cheaper than skunk2, or Fields.
