Default can i do a b20v in my 99 crv

i have been building hondas for years but am totally new to the crv...never really had interest until looking through the crv thread here..you guys inspired me...well about a month ago both my cars were wrecked by a drunk driver right in my driveway..heres the parts im working with...i have a boosted b20 with fully built n balanced bottom end built low compression for turbo and full turbo system out of my 97 civic coupe...and a 1.7 93 gsr motor....i just bought a 99 crv base 4x4 5 spd so what i want to do is put the vtec head from the gsr engine on my b20 and boost it n drop it in the crv...heres my question...can i used the chipped p28 outta my gsr with a jumper harness on the crv and does anyone know if the harness plug inside the car is the same as my obd2 civic because have a jumper harness from the 97 coupe but i havent taken my cars apart yet to check the computer plugs....any and all advice is appreciated...haters stay the **** out i hate trash talk....spinx or whatever ur name is stay out i only want constructive criticizm..thanks guys

basically you could use all the parts(main) from both of your cars...
you could either do a plain vtec head swap or b20V-boosted if you want, i have both
options in several of my Vs, easiest is the vtec conversion... then youll just have to
use obd2b plug harness for you to use the p28 ecu you have, 97-98 crv comes in obd2a,
99-01 crvs are obd2b similar to civics/teggys... either route you wanted to do is fine,
but youll have to find a 4wd dyno to tune it or remove the prop shaft if youll use a 2wd
dyno... good luck!

yes it all works fine. a crv is basically the exact same as an EK civic when it comes to swaps and what not. the rt4wd comes into play AFTER the transmission, so engine swaps are the exact same as anything else. good luck!

thanks man sorry havent had a chance to get on here since computer crapped out last night...but yea i pulled both motors today and already startin the v conversion and its gettin boosted too...im takin the best from both my totalled babies and makin a nasty suv...the civ with the b20t was puttin down 297whp 198wtq at 14psi and a really safe(rich) and was screamin to 9k all day all without vtec so i cant wait to see what project crv can do with vtec and turbo and rt allwheel drive...hopin it will put down at least 350 awhp with a good tune and 18-20 psi with my same turbo set-up i had bfore...thanks for the good wishes and good luck to me

just made a new account, forgot my old password. Anyway, im also in the middle of a crv build up. Ive got a 99 4wd 5 speed, with old man emu lift springs. suspension/wheels/tires aside, here's what parts I have for the engine build: B20b block, b16a2 head, turbonetics turbo, i forget the model number, but its not a very big turbo, turbonetics wastegate, hks sequential blow off valve, POS manual boost controller, currently have a p06 ecu, but i think ill get a p72 for this build.

this is my first turbo build so id love to hear how you guys are fairing on your projects. once my noob status is lifted ill post some pictures.
