b16a running problems!!!
I have recently joined the honda club. I purchased an 88 crx with a 1st generation b16a swap. The wiring harness was switched to an obd-0 first level. The distributor blew and i replaced it with a 2nd generation distributor before i knew what kind of motor i had, which mounted and plugged in perfectly. The problem is the motor is very sluggish and does not sound right. Can someone help me with this problem? Not sure what my next step should be and i dont want to spend money at a shop that doesnt know how to work with these types of issues. I am in the oshawa area so if anyone knows of a honda mechanic that fixes these types of issues please help.
You get the firing order right?
Take pictues of the distributor for me. You say the car is obd0 but you replaced the distributor with a second generation unit. What does that mean? Obd1 or 2? Im curious what ecu you have in there, because obd0 ecus are only compatible with the obd0 distributors. Obd1/2 ecus are compatible with obd1/2 distributors.
