Default 15w-40 in D16ZC CRX

So, my CRX has Castrol GTX 15w-40 in it. Long story short, is this too thick? Keeping in mind I'm coastal New Zealand so the temp only rarely drops below 0c (32F) will this oil be fine as winter is coming up? Just want to know if this is not ideal or whatever, and whether I should switch to 10w-40 at the next change.

Thanks

My rings are in such terrible shape that I run a mix of about a 50/50 no smoke/20w-50 mix. you should be fine with 15-40.

if you're burning oil, it's ok. if you motor is healthy, i would go thinner in the cold weather. 10w40 or 10w30 is best.

Seems to be healthy, it's never lost any oil at all, doesn't leak either. So I *should* be ok with the 15w40 for this winter as I have already done the oil change only a few hundred KM ago. The Service Manual says that 15w40 is good for down to -20c while 10w40 is good for down to -30c or something along those lines. Since it never gets anywhere near that cold here I should be OK right?
