Icon2 06 RSX 5speed standard

Hey guys. i need some help...

well i just bought a used 06 RSX last month and its great. the only problem is that if i dont warm it up fully after about an hour or 2 of not driving (with the engine off) the engine just dies on me. it'll start up and drive but once you go on a stop or even go back on neutral, the motor just dies. i was thinking it was the battery but its not. i checked the voltage but its a brand now battery so that wasnt it. not im thinking its the distributor or the spark pugs. i really dont know. im a car guy but i just cant seem to find the solution. ive only started working on cars and getting familiar with everything under the hood for a little over a year and a half. any suggestions wil be greatly appreciated. thanks.

For starters it doesn't have a distributor. It has individual coils.

is there a check engine light? I'm thinking it has to do with the fuel system or its not getting enough air

yes the check engine light is on. The battery light and oil light is on too when the motor dies... Any idea?

It has an OBD2 system(On Board Diagnostic) anything '96 and newer has this computer system, makes all vehicles computer systems capable of being read by one machine. Take it to an auto parts store and tell them you have a check engine light you want scanned, they hook a small machine up, and it tells you what the check engine light is for. And makes it easier to fix the problem.

just tell the guy who works at the auto parts store.."i have check engine light on my rsx, can you scan it?". find out the code and post it here by telling us the code, we can look it up and tell you the issue.
