89 CRX HF H22A4 problems at a loss
I recently bought an 88 CRX with a h22a4 swap. The car had a bunch of wiring issues mainly loose connections and some wires weren't hooked up. The car would randomly shut off or idle funny. I fixed all these issues. The odd thing is now I have a code 8 for TDC. I already ohm checked all the sensors in the dizzy and I checked at the PCM and I have gone to the extent of soldering wires from the engine side connector at the dizzy and ran the worse directly to the wires at the B connector on the PCM. I have also checked to make sure my timing belt is all lined up. The code comes on a little after 4k rpm. Any suggestions or ideas would help a lot thanks
Well this was my case. I have an 89 EF with bolt-ons I can cruise the car all day long but when I tried to punched it and the revs go higher than 5800rpm it throw the same code as yours code 8 TDC. I change the Distributor and the problem is solved I can go now all the way to the rev limit when ever I want. I hope this help you with something.
