Default Lighting/Wiring Issue (When I hit the Breaks, my dash lights come on?)

Hey All...

Car- 95 Integra DB7 w/JDM front & HID's...the car is b20 equipped.

Okay, so pretty simple here...and I'd like to be up front when I say I know little to nothing about wiring as far as headlights/brake lights are concerned so please forgive my ignorance...I've spent a majority of my time cleaning up the hack job from the previous owner of this car so I have tons of little things I'm trying to address. One thing that particularly bugs me is the following:

No matter what time of day, when I drive my car and hit the breaks my dash lights light up??? :-/ Not the check engine lights, the actual dash lights as if it were night and i had my headlights on. As soon as the brakes are engaged the dash lights go on...

Not really sure why this is happening, but it bugs the h#ll out of me. Do I have a wiring issue somewhere? Any idea(s) of what I can do or which direction to head?

Always appreciated
