okay, I have a gsr and it has the usual third gear grind, but i've notice my fifth gear is grinding as well after shifting beyond 3,000 rpm. Is this a sign for more problems to come for my transmission? And why would the 5th gear be grinding? The car was handed down to me from an uncle and i was told before that he had a turbo setup...did he grind the crap out of the transmission? The car now does not have a turbo just the regular gsr setup. Please help and comment.

 

Change the fluid and see if the problem still persists...

Use some GM synchromesh or Honda mtf
