Default Checking my settings if it sounds about right.

just installed skunk2 pro 1 cams in a LS/V.
I got the pro 1 cams installed and degree'd in using skunk2s cam card
I got +2i and +4E on Hks cam gear. Each mark is equal to 2 degress cranks. Does this sound right? Thanks

That actually looks just about right assuming that you have had the head and/or block milled a healthy amount.

Typically we will see a 4 degree separation between the cams with the exhaust cam being advanced more than the intake.

This is typically something along the lines of (talking degrees here) -1 intake, +3 exhaust or 0 intake, +4 exhaust.

Since the separation is more or less typical of the results we see after degreeing, but both camshafts are advanced further than usual my guess is the head and block where milled.

Good info. Straight from the lion's mouth right there. To the o.p., forgive me if im wrong, and don't think im putting you down, but there is some good thought provoking info right there. You might want to research why this happens when material is removed from the block/head or thinner headgasket. Posts like this made me want to look into why this happens, back in my more "wet behind the ears" days.

Yeah i actually already knew that, I would hate to open my mouth and come across as a "know it all" i'd rather be the quiet one and soak the knowledge that others would like to share with me. Thanks.
